When Life Gives You a Banana Stand...

 Brain cancer is...

 ...rethinking our smug banana stand purchase.

In our scientific investigation, the bananas do not seem to ripen any slower on this stand.  What they do is ripen and then suddenly let go and succumb to their death on the counter.

It's not the fault of the bananas.  We've tried more than one bunch, and this effect is repeatable.  Maybe it's user error.  Always a possibility.  However, until somebody on this team gives us a better idea...

...what we actually purchased seems to be a bathroom hand towel stand.

It seems safer and less discouraging this way.

 

Another small bit of good news today concerns our bird bath.

 

LuAnn let us borrow the bath so I could watch birds from the window at my rumpus room work station.  Until today?  No takers.  

Then, this morning during a meeting, we had our first visitor.

It made my meeting and my morning, and it took the sting off the dead bananas.
