A woman asked me the other day..."Are you suffering"
"Do I look like I am suffering?'" I replied.
She said, "No, you dont look not sick at all".
If I could count the amount of times people have said that to me, I could have a few free lunches.
Why ament I suffering?
I have been bed bound and hospital bound. I have ached, I have been vommiting and the rest and pain which can cause other problems such as stress, anxiety and emotional pain. I have cried and gotten angry. The toughest part of an illness is around your children. You know the drill. I choose not to suffer. I am blessed as I have faith. I have faith in whatever is mapped out for me, is meant to be.
We are all going to die. One can die crying or smiling.
Coming to terms with mortality is one very important thing.
Everyday is a new beginning.
I came here to experience life and I had an incredible experience. I have not been avoiding life...otherwise id be miserable or dead!
I got out of my mind.
I got into my heart and became conscious in the silence.
I am not a buddhu - below the mind.
I am not in the mind - suffering.
I am above the mind - in a state of buddha. (or so the buddists say)
I have a holistic approach to medicine. One has to. Anyone who says that alternative practices like yoga, spiritual and emotional healing, breath work, herbs, enemas, juicing, acupuncture, nutrition are not beneficial when one is trying to heal the body is an idiot. No, they have not been proved, but I tell you I can prove to you that these things are so important. I have met doctors who dont believe in 'alternative' practices. I have been there in my ignorance too. Ignorance is...
Breath can help you disengage from physical and emotional pain. Its been used for thousands of years. It can reactivate your parasympathetic nervous system. Any toxic chemistry that was lurking around my body is fading into the horizon of my unconsciousness. I have tapped into myself and have learned to be more present.
I have combined my breathing with awareness just while sitting everyday and meditating. I needed to release pain in the body. I go right into it, try to see it, try to understand why its there and to bring the prana which is the life force back into my body.
Clarity of the mind, openess in the body through conscious breathing exercises.
(When you begin to feel the tingling all over your body and pain disappear, you would sit there everyday and do the same. It feels wonderful. We all have the power to heal and nurture ourselves everyday. We just need to take that step. Mine was hopping out of the bed in the hospital when I was unable to move. It was then I saw that we can achieve anything we put our intention to.)
