Powerful words...Tap away the fear...
I opened it and a little story written by a woman called Iyanla Vanzant was the page I began to read. Then on beginning to write this, I opened the book again and it opened on the exact same page. Coincidence or fate. Anyway I just wanted to share it as I found it so powerful.

There are four primal fears in life.
- Number one is loosing someones love or having your love rejected. The human mind just cant handle that.
- The fear of being powerless or helpless, therefore you are not safe in your being. So the fear of being unsafe.
- The third fear is really the number one human addiction. And its not chocolate. Its control. So that third fear is the fear of loosing control. Control of yourself. Control of others. Control of what will happen, how it will happen, when it will happen sends the human ego into total meltdown.
- And the fourth fear is just being seen as valuable, worthy, necessary.
That your love is being rejected or that its going to be taken away. That you are going to be seen as helpless, hopeless and therefore you are vulnerable.
And the ego cant stand vulnerability. (the ego is your mind - not your brain, your mind.
So, in order not to be vulnerable you have to maintain control. When you cant control what someones doing, there is a fear there. And this fear takes us to anger.
Now heres the thing about anger that I hope you get. Your never angry for the reason you think you are. You werent born with it. So something happened and you had that helpless, hopeless, vulnerable, powerless, lack of control response and that made an impression. The experience left an imprint and then on the soul theres an impression. Anytime anything that looks like, smells like, sounds like, raises those feelings up in you, the anger is stirred up.
So you think your angry because boo-boo left you. That is really not the origin. Boo-Boo was the trigger. Boo-Boo's just came into your life to remind you there is something down there you need to handle.
Right beneath that anger there is a well of hurt.
But we stay at the anger as it gives us control because we are afraid to go into the hurt. Because right beneath the hurt is love.
Then she gives a beautiful little technique:
Drop hands to the side
Close your eyes
Disconnect from everything
Take a deep breath (it wont kill you)
Invite the hurt forward
Just invite it forward
Go into the feeling of hurt
Let it go
You must get into the true feeling and
Drop it.

And then I wonder why I write this stuff, and I guess its shared learning.
If I didnt I might feel like I didnt serve a purpose. Gosh what are we humans doing with our lives anyway.
