...sailing out of Alaska's First City.

We set foot on Alaskan soil today, in Ketchikan.  Ketchikan is called Alaska's First City because it's the first city you come to in this great state.  It's also called the salmon capital of the world.

We did a walking tour of the city and its lovely environs.  It's green, 63 degrees, and gorgeous.  Pics to follow because we are still struggling with photos and the Internet.

Dinner is at 7 tonight.  Dress code:  Informal.  (Men, wear your sports coats and khakis.  Women, if you are so inclined, let's do sparkles.)
