The last month.....
We all have to realise that we are all put on this earth for many different reasons. I used to wonder what was I going to be when I grew up. I knew I was going to be a creative, but I guess I am still wondering about that as we are all children at heart. But I have had a great life so far and I am proud of my achievements and really thats all that matters. Being proud of how we handle things in our life is what people seeHaving spent the last few weeks enjoying the sunshine with my family and friends in LA and then Inis Oirr, I have come to realise that having long amazing fruitful chats is what life is all about. The experiences we all have and share in life is just so precious.
Being proud of the life we lead is just so important. We all have sadness, we can all be lonely, we all have hard times but in suffering you really see the wheat from the chaf and its out of those tough times that one grows exponentially. I am happy that I can communicate this too. Those parts of life are actually very beautiful because then you begin to accept who you are and what you are and you begin to know yourself. We live in a world that dreams and happiness are to be achieved through things like fancy holidays, houses, beauty, extravagance. When in fact happiness is not about what your going to get or achieve, its what you have right here, right now, in your little heart.
The past few weeks have been full on.
Two weeks ago I was invited in to meet 11 women in SAOL which is a beautiful house on Amien street that helps women with addictions. I was so honoured to be asked to come in and share my story and share my lifewreaths with them. The plan is to create a large lifewreath together. I told them about my terminal cancer and doing chemo and being very sick and that I put all of these little stories into my artwork. They began sharing their stories and what their hopes are for the future. They have to be able to see themselves well again in order to achieve what they want to achieve. As I sat there I realised I am just like them. And I wanted to give them power, for them to see my power and then be able to realise their hopes and dreams. I have to say it was an amazing meeting. When they all left the room I actually told Marguerite that I had a really bad pain in my liver, something I had not experienced for a while. She told me most of the ladies have hep C and that I might have absorbed that. On the way home I prayed for my pain to leave and just as I was walking past the GPO it did.
I will go in again and be more conscious of how my liver is doing. Its an incredible thing to be able to help others on their healing life journey. This is my calling and I am happiest in helping others wherever I can.
I met my beautiful new nephew and brother and sister in law in LA and we had so much fun. I stood and watched the organisation of the vegetables in a store called Eyrewhon for way too long. But oh the satisfaction of the shiny displayed veg and fruit was like nothing I had ever seen. It was a fab shop, I am just so glad its not in Dublin as I would be broke! We drank the most amazing juices and treated mum to a fab brunch on mothers day and had loads of fun with Johnny in a really old funpark that was next to us. We didnt need Disneyland to have a great time. We had the whole park to ourselves. It was very special.
From LA to Inis Oirr. I was luckily enough to be invited to Inis Oirr to create the interior for a Shíbín, or shebeen (here before!) which was a little cement structure (a clandestine bar that sells spirits) with ivy growing up it that had been cleaned out to create my little alters for a cocktail bar essentially. I had been making vegetable juices and wheatgrass shots that morning for people only to be scolded by my friend Sheila who told me to keep my juicing for myself. So that I did. (2 baskets full) But we had the most amazing mixers by American Village in Galway. (If you are ever in Galway and like a cocktail I recommend this highly.) The most beautiful tumeric and herbal tonics make the most amazing mixers and are also good for the body. This was mixed with mescal from a company from the US called Gem and Bolt who are two amazing women who started the company. The non alcoholic ones were amazing too!
On arriving to the shibin, there happened to be a lovely small gathering looking around. Myself and Bernard chatted on the way there and he mentioned was I going to give a little speech. I said not at all, but on landing into the shibin, I couldnt help but have a chat with all the people that were there and it just turned into a lovely moment. I definately know I struck a cord with a few beautiful people who are trying to help friends deal with diseases and whatnot, so all in all, it was a pleasure making their acquaintance and I learned some more things about life that I hadnt touched on. Loved 'Drop Everything' and slowing down to the pure essence of life. And for that I am so grateful to my 'Drop Everything' family. The library built on the rocks, the sauna, the sea viewing platform. Having the amazing Lisa Hannigan sing to us all in the ruins of the old church. Having Saint sisters perform in the school. It was just wonderful couple of days filled with love and amazing energy.
So back to life now - and I have to take down my exhibition this eve, so off up to Drogheda I go. Sad to say goodbye to them hung in an amazing place, (brown hound bakery) but I have sold a few and they need to be posted to their new owners now so I can pay for my electricity bill! haha
On a complete tangent. I was speaking to alot of people about coffee enemas. Please check this out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clISdn_kClY
and the coffee I use is unroasted FDA approved. I buy it in from America.
S.A Wilsons Organic unroasted coffee. Check out that link. I believe in this so much for my health and cleaning my blood etc.
Love and best wishes to all,
Fiona xxx
