Over the hill...but not so far away....

And so I turned 40 last Friday.
I have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and messages. I thought I would just let you all know how really and truely thankful I am. People have come out of the woodwork and its just so beautiful. It makes me so happy to hear from old pals and just to be close to the family.

My brother in law came to surprise me for my birthday and we were all going out for a little breakfast and then a few pals joined in last minute. I wasnt expecting anyone as it was a working day and to be honest I didnt really want any fuss. They surprised me with not only one cake, but two and sang happy birthday twice. Mortified. As Sally said I was scarlet (johannsson)! But the cakes were incredible and we had a laugh. Johnny even took the day off school to celebrate with us which I am sure he was only delighted about!

Afterwards I gave him the choice of what we could do for the day. He chose the cinema. And so off we went to see 'The Greatest Showman'. Hands down one of the best feel good films I have ever seen. My emotions were riding high watching some of the scenes with the lil guy. Hugh Jackman - is an amazing actor. He captured me from start to finish. I know I am a sap. But we loved every minute of it and on walking out of the cinema Johnny said it was his new favourite film. Mine too.

I do have the best pals in the universe. Even though they say they cant cook, they were still dropping me over dinners last week and boy was it delicious when I came home.

I really want this year to be a year where I can work and have the energy to work and help others. I was speaking with a lady last week about the potential of running a little lifewreath workshop for women who have been through tough times. And I really want to do just that. Also if theres any idle hands between you - I have plenty for you to be doing!!  Your more than welcome to come to the studio and do a bit of sewing. hahaha many hands make life work.

Love to you all
