Sarah - your a legend. I cant begin to say how much I love poetry but when your pal writes a poem about you its just unreal. Thank you so much Bridie. xxxx Everyone remembers what I wore on the first day of NCAD. lol. I guess fashion was my calling! haha
(My nickname in college was Flossy because of Candyfloss. Long story!)
FLOSSY
A crisp sunny morning on a street I'd never been
Big blue gates, I remember this scene
A friendly smiling face, white jeans, the shirt was pink
Forever this moment a memory and a link
Next day head to toe she appeared in blue
Hair in a bun, polka dots hip to shoe
A singer a dancer her presence spelt fun
Made every day shine like the sun
So talented and funny our short time spent together
Always grateful for great memories we'll have forever
I write this this evening because you inspire me
Believing in positivity and all it can be
Benji our banjo has recently learned
The same as you did, which you can be returned
Also I believe in strength empowerment and belief
You are real proof of getting over the grief
Win it don't battle it, as is the right thing to say
Believe in yourself each and every day
Make the most of the moments for they are to treasure
Of life's journey before which we never endeavour
Life wreaths, love life, laugh along the way
You touched my heart on that day
Don't ask me the exact time, I can't remember
But was 1999 in sunny September x
